Different Faces | 2016
In my country, strict laws compel people to lead two distinct lives: one private and one public. Consequently, individuals often exhibit contrasting behaviors in each sphere. Observing people on the streets, it appears as though everyone has adopted a persona different from their true selves. It feels as though they are split in two, presenting only half of their true identity to the world. This inspired me to capture portraits of my people, focusing solely on half of their faces.

Due to the unique social and political conditions in Iran, people are compelled to exhibit this dual behavior.

The society views this behavior as unacceptable and is endeavoring to change such laws.
